Why are some people succeeding in these tough times while others struggle to make ends meet? One word – FEAR! The main obstacle that stands in our way of reaching our goals is and will always be the fear of failure. What if I don’t make it? What if I fall? What if people laugh? What if it’s the wrong decision?
I admit I have been guilty of this word the last three years and it has cost me dearly. My advice to you is to start by turning off the television (other than Thursday nights on NBC at 9 CST), cancel your subscription to the newspaper and remove all of the news channels from you “favorites” on your computer. Replace this with reading something positive for an hour a day. You will be amazed at the results.
We all experienced more success prior to the housing market and stock market crashing because we were not afraid. We trusted our instincts and ran with our decision without second guessing ourselves. If your gut is telling you to go do something you have always wanted to do, go do it! Don’t let the media tell you to crawl into a hole and wait for the economy to magically recover. You have been given instincts for a reason, trust them and act on them. If you find out you made the wrong decision you will have learned a good lesson and your instincts will point you in a different direction next time.
Push fear aside. Each time fear enters your mind think of something positive to eliminate that feeling. Overcome fear and you will find what you have always wanted.
