I recently attending a meeting with several other “luxury” Realtors around the Twin Cities Metro and it still amazes me how even in the upper bracket home market agents simply want to do a “deal” and make a buck.  First, none of them are doing anything to advertise the homes they have listed and when several of us were asked to talk about a property we have listed, what makes it unique, how we are marketing the home, etc. – 9 out of 10 of the agents said something along the lines of “my seller really needs to sell, just bring me an offer and I will get the deal done”!  Are you frickin’ kidding me!  How about; “this home is beautiful, priced extremely well and here’s why….”.  If these sellers only knew what their agent is saying about their property!  It’s no wonder Realtors are on a short list of least trusted professionals.

I should also mention I was the youngest person in the room by nearly 20 years.  This isn’t 1980 and I don’t sell Mary Kay on the side!
